Dr Keith Rowley announced this week that the will not be the “traditional parade” for Trinidad carnival 2022.  During the address which has now reached meme level Dr Rowley states;

“We will not see street parades, unvaccinated gathering and wild public partying, but there is room for safe zone specific events.”

This has sparked questions as to what carnival 2022 in Trinidad & Tobago will look like, after a two year absence due to the pandemic, the PM went on to say;

“…some elements of the the festival can be sampled as carnival microcosmic mosaic with a difference”

The PM also urged his citizens to “finish the journey, by being realistic and responsible.” Some are unhappy that the full carnival experience will not be available next year and thing it is yet another blow to the entertainment and arts industry, at a time when many local artiste would be looking to showcase new music a perform for thousands fans and supporters for the first time in a long time.
